How the Board Game is Played

 

                To start each game, each player chooses ten category cards of any combination, to contribute to the pile that will be shuffled and used throughout the game. The back of each ReFraze card displays the category and year range for quick and easy identification. This allows all players of various generations, interests, and walks of life to select potential ReFraze options that fall into their wheelhouse of knowledge offering a variety of topics for everyone!

 

                The first player rolls the die and moves ahead on board. If they land on an unmarked circle, that player picks up a card from the ReFraze pile and reads it aloud to the rest of the players. The first player to correctly answer the ReFraze gets to go next, rolls the die, draws a new ReFraze card to read aloud...and this repeats until a player crosses the finish and wins the game.

            Fox Holes: Fox Hole spaces are like action wild cards. If a player lands upon a Fox Hole space, they pick up a Fox Hole card to read aloud instead of a ReFraze card. Fox Hole cards have a variety of actions the drawing player must follow. They can be either rewarding or hazardous, affect one player, multiple players, or all players which adds an exciting, unpredictable element to the game.
